THE BOOK LAUNCH OF “PATRIOTISM: A Core Principle to National Development”

The book launch of “Patriotism: A Core Principle to National Development,” authored by His Royal Highness Edward Fredrick Walugembe, was held on April 9th, 2025, at the prestigious Pope Paul Memorial Hotel.

This event featured a series of activities designed to engage attendees and celebrate the book’s release.

The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II,  praised Prince Edward Fredrick Walugembe for his book, Patriotism: A Core Principle to National Development, which promotes patriotism and national unity among Ugandans.

The Kabaka’s message was delivered during the book’s official launch at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Ndeeba.

The message, read by Prince Nakibinge Jjuuko Mulyazaawo on behalf of the Kabaka and signed by his private secretary Douglas Mukiibi, commended Prince Walugembe for his dedication and thorough research.

“I want to thank Prince Edward Fredrick Walugembe for authoring this book, and for the expertise and time you dedicated to researching this important subject. I have no doubt it will inspire many Ugandans to embrace patriotism and love for their country,” read the Kabaka’s message.

Guests had the opportunity to hear insightful speeches by the author and other distinguished speakers on themes of patriotism and national development. The launch also included a book signing session, allowing attendees to meet the author personally.

The book launch event was attended by royals, cultural leaders, and distinguished guests, celebrating the release and marking the Kabaka’s 70th birthday.

Buganda’s Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, praised Prince Walugembe for promoting national unity and responsibility through his work.

Dr. Victoria Ssekitooleko encouraged Ugandans, especially the youth, to share positive stories and emphasized documenting Uganda’s heritage for future generations.
